The 117-100 series was a model change from the 117-0 series that appeared in 1986, with changes to the side windows and bogies. It was a maximum of 12 cars in formation and was mainly used for the "Special Rapid Service".

- The cream No. 1 car body reproduces the grape-colored No. 2 stripe
- Shoe rails and handles printed in silver
- Car number is selectable and a transfer sheet is included

- Head and tail lights, front display section, and operation display are equipped with a constant lighting board and ON-OFF switch
