The WAM60000 series is a covered car manufactured from 1961, and was initially used for express freight trains with a maximum speed of 75km/h, but was used in common with other covered cars after the exclusive use was abolished in 1965. Many were scrapped after

yard transport was abolished in 1984, and all except for some cars used as substitutes for business cars were scrapped by 1987.
